Our Prince Bishops Homes subsidiary is co-sponsoring art installation No1 on the Lumiere map – a thought provoking piece projected on to the beautiful Miners’ Hall on Flass Street in the city.
‘The Common Good’ has been created by visual artists Shared Space & Light and is described in the Lumiere programme as a ‘powerful and touching 3D video projection.’
Prince Bishops Homes hosted a preview event for the artwork on Wednesday this week, alongside our co-sponsors County Durham Housing Group.
Our chief executive Paul Fiddaman joined his counterpart Bill Fullen from CDHG to welcome guests to the Miners Hall.
Everyone was wowed by the combination of visuals and commentary provided by a collection of public sector workers from across the area we serve.
Those taking part include firefighters, teachers, doctors, refuse collectors, police officers, and a lollipop man – all explaining what public service means to them, and why their services matter so much.
The Common Good can be found at the Miners Hall at the top of Flass Street, just a few hundred yards from Durham railway station.
