High level talent joins Karbon Homes board

Three new appointments have been made to add their experience and expertise to the board at growing housing association Karbon Homes.

Karbon has developed significantly in the last three years since its formation by the amalgamation of three locally based housing assoiciations in early 2017.

The organisation has expanded into Yorkshire from its roots in the North East and increased the number and range of homes it develops each year.

The three new board members all bring with them heavyweight experience of the business world, running large, complex organisations.

Firstly Sarah Salter brings significant experience of enhancing both customer experience and employee engagement. She has held senior executive roles in both Northumbrian Water and Places for People Housing Group.

Mike Mullaney brings substantial experience from the banking sector, particularly as a former regional director at Lloyds Banking Group, and at Royal Bank of Scotland. He has held external appointments at a range of high profile organisations including the CBI and Business in the Community.

Thirdly Julie Taylor has a strong track record of leading complex, customer-facing transformation, with a significant digital element, including in senior roles in the North East with Virgin Money and previously with Barclays and HSBC.

Sebert Cox, Chairman of Karbon Homes, said: “We are an ambitious organisation with some stetching targets to meet in our Strong Foundations strategy, so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure such high calibre people to help deliver our vision. I welcome all three new colleagues to Karbon and look forward to seeing how the organisation benefits from their knowledge and experience.”
