Cleadon Park is set to transform once again this August, with the return of Karbon's Cleadon Park Family Fun Day.
With a whole host of activities on offer, including face painting, a magic show, funfair rides, a bouncy castle, and arts and crafts, there’s something for all ages to enjoy.
The free event will be held on Wednesday 14 August between 11am and 2pm at Ridgeway Academy School on Park Avenue in South Shields.
The day is hosted by Karbon Homes, alongside South Tyneside Council, South Tyneside Homes and Ridgeway Children’s Centre.
Lewis Rimington, Community Engagement Specialist at Karbon Homes, said: “The Cleadon Park fun day is an opportunity for the whole community to come together and celebrate everything that is great about the area.
“The event is always a popular day in our calendar and we’re encouraging all residents in the area to come down and join in with all the fun.”
The event is in its 12th year and is a fantastic example of local organisations coming together to support the community.
The ever popular chocolate tombola will also be returning to the event, raising money for the Mayor of South Tyneside’s charities (South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade and NAFFI Break South Tyneside – drop in service run by veterans of the Armed Forces).
Karbon was instrumental in the regeneration of the Cleadon Park area which was transformed between 2004 and 2017, and the fun day continues to celebrate the success of this regeneration.
The project saw hundreds of homes demolished and 730 new homes built by Karbon Homes and Bellway at a cost of £90m, alongside fantastic community facilities including a Primary Care Centre and library.
