After a rainy start to the summer, the sun seems to be finally making its way out, just in time for this weekend’s ChesterFest! The much awaited festival, taking place at Riverside Park in Chester-le-Street, this weekend 22 & 23 June, is a community style festival and we are proud to be a main sponsor for this family friendly event.
The festival, which has been organised by Durham Cricket, was designed to bring the local community together, in celebration of the Cricket World Cup coming to Chester-le-Street this year.
Spread over two days, the event will showcase the best of North East culture, from live music to the best of local cuisine.
Headliners, local band, The Lake Poets will be taking to the stage on Saturday evening and there will be a great selection of local food vendors and bars such as Fat Hippo, Log Fire Pizza Co, Northumbrian Sausage, Fizz on the Tyne and Gin pot, to enjoy.
As part of the planned activities, Karbon is proud to be sponsoring, the Food Theatre, which will show live cookery demonstrations from local chefs and provide workshops on how to cook healthy meals and feed a family on a budget.
