Karbon is currently investigating the options available for the installation of new play equipment in Allendale, Northumberland, and will explore these options with stakeholders once developed.

All play parks owned by Karbon are inspected on a regular basis. The existing wooden play equipment in the village was found to be in a poor condition and required removal, without the usual consultation, to protect those who may use the equipment.

Now, after local residents and the county councillor got in touch with us to express their concerns, we have acted to ask a specialist contractor to bring forward options for new equipment on the site.

Once we have had the opportunity to examine the options, we will then go out to consultation on any proposals with local residents, the local county councillor and Allendale Parish Council.

We are hopeful that we will be able to reach agreement with Northumberland County Council and the local parish council, to find a way to develop and maintain the play equipment in the longer term.
