August 2026

Welcome to our August edition of Karbon Life, keeping our stakeholders up to date with the latest news from Karbon Homes.

This summer has been an eventful one for us at Karbon Homes. We've just published our financial statements for 2025/2026 and they show another year of strong performance with lots of success stories. You can also read about the progress we are making against our environmental, sustainable and governance goals in our ESG Report.

In July, we celebrated the launch of our new Karbon Foundation. The foundation is a really exciting development that brings together all the support we give to people in our communities and creates a new focal point for investment in all our charitable activities. Karbon Foundation will attract new partners and new funding for projects which support both our customers and their wider communities. I’m looking forward to keeping you updated on the impact our charitable arm has going forward.

We were also thrilled to have been crowned Homebuilder of the Year at the Northern Housing Awards in June. Judges praised our commitment to social value and our investment in smart technology, particularly in homes for older residents to help support independence and social connection. I am extremely proud of all of the Karbon team who contributed to our win. We know there is much more to do to solve the housing challenges we face in our communities and we are excited to deliver much more.

Helping to take us forward will be our new board chair - Sinead Butters MBE. Sinead is the chief executive of Aspire housing and brings 30 years of experience in social housing to the role. I'm looking forward to working with her and want to thank our outgoing chair, Alexis Cleveland, for all her work with Karbon Homes.

In this edition of Karbon Life, you can read about the latest milestone in our development of new homes in Northumberland and how we are supporting a charity to provide safe sleeping environments for North East Children.

Don’t forget to scroll down to see the winner of our latest refer a friend prize draw! If you haven't entered yet, send this email to a colleague and, if they sign up, both you and your colleague will be entered into next month's draw, with a chance each of winning £50 for a chosen charity.
