This October, our telephone befriending service Silver Talk is celebrating ten years of helping people stay connected and proving that it matters to natter. 

Residents at Karbon Homes’ Sheltered Housing schemes across Northumberland are fighting fit this autumn thanks to a new wellbeing and fitness project from Age UK Northumberland and the NHS.

This year, 73 people took part in New Start, a paid placement programme, which provided career starter roles for people aged 25 and over.

We recently caught up with Ann Potts, a Karbon customer who sits on Karbon’s Residents Committee, to find out more about being part of the committee and what it means to her.

Over 109 new affordable homes are becoming available in the next few months.
