Our Pool and Social Group is one of our many customer involvement groups we offer at Karbon and is going from strength to strength in numbers.
Customers in North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Newcastle meet every month in a safe, inclusive space to play pool or simply enjoy socialising together.
The group was started by a customer who enjoys pool and saw potential in bringing together people with a shared interest. Connecting with others in this fun, friendly environment can have ripple effects of improving self-esteem and confidence and reduce feelings of loneliness and stress, all of which can contribute to positive mental health.
Stephen, a Support Worker at Karbon, explains the many benefits of the social group, whilst customers share their experiences in the video below.
Our Support Workers encourage people to come along and try to introduce people to each other. If you're a Karbon Homes' Supported Housing customer and would like to join in please ask your Support Worker to find out more details.
