If your home is included, you may already have heard from our specialist contractor, UK Safety Management Ltd, or they will contact you soon to arrange a convenient appointment. You do not need to do anything unless you are contacted.
What will be checked?
The check only covers electrical items that we have provided as part of your home. Depending on your home, this could include things like an oven, fridge, freezer, electric fire or other electrical appliance provided by us.
It does not include any electrical items that you have bought yourself.
The check, known as an In-Service Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment, helps us confirm that the items we have provided are safe for continued use.
What happens during the appointment?
An engineer from UK Safety Management Ltd will inspect and test the electrical items provided by Karbon. The appointment is expected to take around 20 minutes, depending on the number of items in your home and how easy they are to access.
Please make sure the engineer can access the relevant items when they visit. All engineers will carry identification. If you would like to check someone’s identity before letting them into your home, please call us on 0808 164 0111.
After the check, you will receive a copy of the inspection record confirming the outcome. If anything needs attention, we will arrange the necessary work.
What if I don’t have any electrical items provided by Karbon?
If you are contacted but do not think you have any electrical items provided by us, or you have any questions, please let us know:
