Earn up to £120 for quitting smoking

Adults who live in social housing can earn up to £120 (paid in non-cashable vouchers) for quitting smoking with our Stop Smoking Clinic.

The weekly Stop Smoking Clinic at our Stanley Skills Hub is open every Wednesday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm starting 11 June. The clinic offers free, friendly, and non-judgmental support to anyone ready to quit tobacco for good.

Smokefree County Durham are working hard to reach as many people as possible through this 12 week support programme with specialist practitioners.

Individuals who take part can earn up to £120 for quitting smoking. This will be in the form of vouchers, increasing in amounts as you progress through the quit journey.

Who is eligible?

  • Adult tenants, residents and household members of social housing.

Who isn't eligible?

  • Tenants renting from a private landlord.
  • People who own or pay a mortgage on their main residence, including ex-council properties.

How the clinic helps:

  • 12 weeks of continuous, one-to-one support
  • Free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products - including patches, vape kits, and more
  • Behavioural change guidance and distraction techniques
  • Personalised quit plans tailored to your lifestyle
  • Zero judgement - just encouragement and support
