The team were in attendance at The Fed in Gateshead to hear their name called in recognition for the great work they’ve done to make Karbon a welcome and inclusive environment for all colleagues.
Some of our proudest achievements include the creation and development of our inclusion hubs, which have been key to driving the success of several projects and overall culture, with each group dedicated to reducing inequalities and influencing positive change.
We’ve also formed ‘In Their Shoes Community Housing’, a fictitious housing association, which uses props and simulations to help participants better understand the everyday realities faced by people with disabilities - encouraging empathy, awareness and action.
Iain Herdman, Assistant Director People and Organisational Development, said: “I'm super proud of how everyone has come together to shape, contribute to, and lead our improvement journey in this space. The progress in both colleague involvement and engagement on this topic is a particular highlight for me, so thank you for your time and commitment as well."
A huge well done to everyone involved. - we look forward to continuing the great work over the coming weeks and months.
