How to prepare for power cuts

While power cuts are rare, it's important you know what to do if your electricity supply is ever interrupted.

Northern Powergrid have put together some useful information to help you stay safe and connected.

Northern Powergrid recommend that you:

• Save 105, the free national number to use to report a power cut.
• If your power goes off, report it straightaway at northernpowergrid.com/power-cuts or by calling 105, even if you think someone else has.
• Make sure Northern Powergrid have your correct contact information, to update your details, call 0800 011 3332.
• Keep a torch, spare batteries and a charged power bank somewhere easy to access.
