Today (7 July) marks an important milestone as Karbon Foundation officially launches, strengthening our commitment to supporting customers and communities across the North.
Karbon Foundation is a registered charity and part of the Karbon Group. It exists to grow the Group’s social purpose – working alongside communities to help people live well and feel empowered.
It will continue, and build on, the brilliant work of our Customer and Community Engagement teams, bringing their valuable experience and continuing to deliver the services that make a difference to our communities every day.
The foundation will provide practical, locally led support to people who need it across our geography – creating a consistent delivery approach for customers of Karbon Homes, 54North Homes and Leazes Homes, as well as our wider communities.
Services include:
· Financial wellbeing
· Employment, skills and training
· Digital inclusion
· Community investment and grants
· Social value
· Food poverty
· Place partnerships
· Health and wellbeing
· Tackling social isolation
The teams will continue to work with local charities, community groups and partners, building on existing relationships, responding to local needs and complementing the support already available in our communities.
