Leazes Homes proposed change of landlord

We’re beginning a consultation with our Leazes Homes customers.

With the support of Leazes Board, we’re asking Leazes customers for their views on transferring the ownership of their homes from Leazes to Karbon. This would mean that their landlord would change to Karbon.

Reason for the proposal

Leazes joined the Karbon Group as a subsidiary in June 2024 and we have provided services on its behalf since then. Being part of a larger organisation has brought real benefits, particularly in customer service and the financial security that supports the services customers receive.

Since then, satisfaction levels have significantly improved.

What it would mean for Leazes customers

The main difference for is that Karbon Homes would be their named landlord instead of Leazes Homes. Importantly:

  • Their services would remain the same – they would continue to access them in the same way as they do now, with no disruption to the services they or you receive.
  • They’d keep the current terms and conditions of their tenancy.
  • The way their rent is calculated will not change and will continue to follow government rules and guidance from the Regulator of Social Housing.

How Leazes customers can provide their views

We’re keen to hear the thoughts of Leazes customers on this proposal and would very much value any feedback.

The consultation will run from Tuesday 1 September – Tuesday 13 October.

Leazes customers can share their views in any of these ways:

They can also attend a consultation event. While these are hosted at five of Leazes’ supporting housing schemes, all Leazes customers are welcome. They are being held on:
