A donation of hundreds of gifts and toys will provide a welcome help to lots of families this Christmas.
Through Karbon’s Unlocking Social value programme, Karbon suppliers and contractors RE:GEN, Isoler, Potts Print and Springs Roofing have donated a mix of toys, gift sets and vouchers, all of which have been matched to Karbon households across the region.
Jess Alexander, Social Value Coordinator at Karbon Homes, said: “With another year of soaring prices, this generous donation of gifts and vouchers from our contractors will make a huge difference to lots of families, particularly those who are really feeling the pinch this season.
“With the help of our housing colleagues, we’re spreading these donations even further across our geography this year. It’s a fantastic example of the impact we can have working in partnership with our contractors and suppliers.”
A nationwide survey from Skipton Building Society, found a quarter of British households have relied on financial help and donations at Christmas, both gifts and food, and that Christmas brings with it heightened feelings of anxiety.
Paul Moralee, Community Investment Manager at Karbon Homes, said: “We’re committed to supporting our customers in the run up to Christmas and we’re proud to have built strong partnerships with our contractors and suppliers, as well as charities and projects in our communities, that help make that support possible. It’s an important part of our mission as an organisation, to help shape strong sustainable communities where our residents can thrive.”
