A key aim of our strategy is to shape strong, sustainable places for our communities and one of the many ways in which we do this is through our Unlocking Social Value programme.
By Unlocking Social Value, our contractors can support Karbon to build healthy and sustainable communities which offer more opportunities for the people who live there. Karbon is committed to Unlocking Social Value through as much of our procurement activity as is possible.
We’re proud to partner with those that share our passion for social value. Over 2020-2022 we worked with 34 partners, unlocking over £200,000 of support and our latest Unlocking Social Value Annual Report celebrates these partnerships and the wonderful outcomes they have provided for our customers and communities.
With their support we have been able to:
- assist even more customers into paid jobs, work placements and work experience opportunities
- help make our communities even greater places for our customers to live, with community clean ups and delivering educational workshops
- offer support to community projects through sponsorship, volunteering and donating materials
- invest in both our own services and services offered by community groups and organisations
