Having a positive impact across our communities - Karbon's Annual Review 2025/2026

Over the last year, we have made strong progress against our strategic aims, and we are proud to present our annual review and financial statements for the 2025/26 financial year.

Delivering an excellent service to customers

We have continued to put our customers at the centre of our decision making, actively listening and acting on their feedback and ensuring we continue to make a positive impact across our communities.

Working closely with customers, we have improved the functionality of our customer portal, MyKarbon, and introduced WhatsApp and a webchat function on our websites, providing alternative ways for customers to get in touch with us and self-serve at a time that suits them.

Providing as many goodquality homes as possible

Despite the challenging economic environment, we have remained committed to our new homes delivery programme, completing 478 new homes across the North East and Yorkshire, as well as investing in the quality, safety and energy efficiency of our existing homes

We have continued our drive towards decarbonisation with 83.4% of our homes are now rated EPC C or above, meaning we are well on our way to ensuring all our homes meet the legislative target by 2030.

Shape strong, sustainable places for communities

We remain committed to shaping strong sustainable places for our communities and have continued to invest in our two Karbon key impact areas in Stanley, Durham and Byker, Newcastle.

We have also now launched our charitable arm within the Group, Karbon Foundation, which will focus on improving social and financial wellbeing and delivering inclusive community investment across the North East and Yorkshire.

Looking ahead to 2026/27, we continue to face an ever changing financial, regulatory and political environment. However, we will remain committed to the delivery of our key strategic priorities and building strong foundations for even more people.
