This week we welcomed over 200 customers for our free summer get together at Beamish Museum.
The day was a chance to bring people together and offer a memorable family day out.
There was lots of fun to be had with the chance to explore the fabulous sites Beamish has to offer, including the Pit Village, the Beamish tramway and the new 1950s Grand Cinema.

Customers had the opportunity to meet members of our teams and chat with us about a whole range of subjects, including financial advice, career support, community safety, MyKarbon and more.
There was also the opportunity for customers to find out how they could get involved with the decision making at Karbon through our customer engagement forums and panels.
With the school holidays providing added financial pressure for many families, we wanted to give people the opportunity to enjoy a summer day out without having to worry about the cost. As well as providing free entry, customers were able to enjoy discounted food and drink, a free ice cream and free tokens to use at the fairground too.

Despite the typical British weather of regular drizzle, everyone had a great day. We’ve had some fantastic feedback from many of the customers who joined us:
“Was an excellent and enjoyable day.” John Lipton
“Being a retired military man of some 25 years I fully appreciated the effort and organisation that went into the day. The venue brought back so many memories of my childhood. Brilliant - thank you.” Peter and Linda Beard
“I haven’t been to Beamish before, so all of it was really good and exciting for me. It brought back so many memories of my grandma and her house and my childhood at my mum and dad’s house. The Karbon Team were all so helpful and lovely.” Kym S Gabriele
“It was a brilliant experience. Seeing all of the incredible artifacts it was amazing to see a glimpse of the past.” Ellie
“All of it! The children have been buzzing all day about it - thank you!” Emma Dallas
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and to the team at Beamish for supporting us with the event.
We'll be sharing more photos from the day in our December edition of our customer magazine At home with Karbon. We're also looking to do more events like this one in the future so please keep an eye out for more details.
